Gestalt Psychotherapy & Counselling in North & West London for Individuals and Couples

About me
I have over 20 years experience of working therapeutically with a wide range of people in different contexts. Following on from integrated play, youth and care work and an integrative counselling training (in psychodynamic, person-centred and psychosynthesis approaches), I completed a rigorous Gestalt psychotherapy training, which supports my approach as an holistic, relational therapist.
My experience includes short-term work as a university counsellor, longer-term work as a psychotherapist, and custom-suited contracts as a relationship therapist with couples. I have also assisted teaching on psychotherapy trainings, teaching a counselling skills course in prison, and working as a university student mentor. I facilitate groups & workshops, and am particularly interested in issues of identity and belonging.

Times when therapy can help you
  • Major life changes; bereavement, moving home, illness, becoming a parent, starting a new job.
  • Ongoing problems; compulsive or addictive behaviour, depression, stress, panic attacks, anxiety, relationship difficulties, fertility issues, discrimination.
  • Struggling with past experience;coming to terms with childhood events, trauma, abuse, abandonment.
  • A need to address core issues; issues of identity, belonging, diversity, meaning of life.
  • For Couples; wanting help with relationship problems, looking to 're-find love and passion, wanting support at major life change events, wanting help facilitating separation with minimal damage.

    What difference can therapy make?
Through developing an increased understanding of your own familiar patterns and 'stuckness', and a safe space to experiment with new ways of being, change occurs through becoming aware of new choices in your daily life and relationships.
